Neck Acne
It’s not a problem everyone is going around talking about. Neck acne on the surface would seem to be a very obsecure problem, until you start looking into it. It’s one of those things that when it happens to you, you notice everyone around you is experience a similar thing too. It’s like when you get a new car, you see 10 different cars of the same make on the road that you had never noticed before.
The problem is not just that it looks bad, particularly on the back of your neck. It’s that the neck has some of the most sensitive skin on the body. It pains me to think about pimples on the front of the neck, especially for men where coarse hair is growing. On the back of the neck the skin is thicker and the collared shirt cover up makes it worse allowing oil and dirt to fester.
So what do you do, clean your neck and back just like you would your face and DON’T PICK IT. I know easier said then done. Your dermatologist can recommend prescriptions, but just a light case can be cleared up with a product containing alpha hydroxy acid. For a more severe case try 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and 10% alpha hydroxy acid. And it’s important to clean even when your skin is clear. You might just look around and notice everyone else is worried about their necks too.
